Topsy Turvy Tales From Wisconsin:

In the late 1800’s, a legion of venturous Bavarian immigrants began flowing into Southern Wisconsin, and so did their beer. They discovered the rich farmland was the perfect place to grow hops and barley for their cherished lagers. Yet, they always seemed a bit too cloudy, a result of the high-protein barley of Wisconsin. So a clear-thinking Bavarian, J.E. Siebel developed the “adjunct” brewing method by adding 20-30% corn or rice to the mash to recreate the body & brightness of his beloved homeland brew and … “wu lah”, the Pre-Prohibition style lager was concocted. Bravo! So cheers to the past and the taste the future of Vintage Velvet.  A bright and light-bodied pale lager brewed with both Wisconsin grown corn and malted barley for a rich malt flavor and noble hop aroma. Bottoms Up!
