Position Summary
We’re hiring for a strong supervisor who has had experience working in a full service, high-volume taproom, restaurant or bar. You will be committed to continuously striving for and delivering an outstanding guest experience, and have a strong passion for craft brews.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing all taproom bar operations including, but not limited to, supervising taproom bar staff, employee hiring and training, and daily maintenance of the restaurant
Oversee and manage on-site special events, including private events.
Maintain safe an employee-friendly and positive work environment, ensuring all workplace rules are understood and followed.
Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels.
Work with the General Manager and Brewmaster team to establish a strong team culture and create policies/procedures as needed to continually run day-to-day operations and exceed guest expectations
Collect, evaluate and respond to guest feedback as needed
Ensure a smooth front-of-house operation at all times, and step in to lead and assist staff as necessary during busy, peak times
Assist General Manager with all sales and reporting tracking, and contributing to the preparation of reports to share with senior leadership
Sell our entire Topsy Turvy Brewery product portfolio of beer & beyond beer
Conduct waitstaff / bartender education updates, beer tastings and evening promotions
Maintain Responsible Server training and bartenders license records for everyone serving beer.
Comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations.
Insure all areas are kept spotless including restrooms & common areas.
Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures
Must be accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and able to work flexible hours including working nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
A minimum of 1 year as a restaurant or bar manager
A minimum of 3 year liquor or beer sales to retail locations or distribution
Knowledge of craft beer and/or serious interest in understanding craft beer styles and the industry
Passing of Level 1 (Certified Beer Server qualification) of Cicerone program within the first six (6) months of employment.
Ability to work a variety of hours as business levels are affected by season.
Lead by setting a professional and upbeat example.
Be able to lift 50 pounds, to bend and twist, be on your feet for the entire work shift. The workspace can be crowded and the floor can be slippery so caution with urgency must be practiced.
Having the writing and math skills necessary to accurately take money and return proper change, complete forms, write orders, draft emails, and perform the necessary calculations.
Strong computer skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and calmly react to and handle stressful situations and customer complaints
Detail-oriented and able to multitask and prioritize your workload
